Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam MBE, FMedSci, is a physician and public health specialist with a clinical background in emergency medicine, anesthesia and infectious diseases. He is an expert on respiratory viruses and pandemics and is currently part-time Senior Strategy Adviser to the University of Nottingham School of Medicine.
Professor Van-Tam was the UK’s former Deputy Chief Medical Officer who became a household name during the Covid pandemic. Alongside this role he consults independently.
